It helps to include your device, the app version and what happened. You don't need to send your food log or other personal data unless it helps explain the problem.
Frequently asked questions
How do I set up Dropbox sync?
- Open the app's settings and turn on Dropbox sync.
- Sign in to your Dropbox account when Dropbox asks, and allow access. The app only gets access to its own app folder.
- Repeat on your other devices with the same Dropbox account to keep them in step.
Synced data is stored in your Dropbox account. To stop syncing, turn sync off in the app and, if you like, remove the app from your Dropbox account's connected apps.
How do I get a USDA FoodData Central API key?
- Go to the FoodData Central API key sign-up page.
- Enter your name and email. The key is free and is emailed to you.
- Paste the key into the app's settings.
Barcode lookup works without a key using Open Food Facts. A USDA key adds FoodData Central as an extra source. The key is stored in the app's settings, so it syncs to Dropbox along with the rest of your data.
Where is my data stored?
On your device, in the app's local database, along with automatic on-device backups. If you turn on sync, a copy is also stored in your Dropbox account. See the privacy policy for details.
How do I delete my data?
Clear your data in the app or uninstall it. If you used sync, also delete the app's folder in your Dropbox (under Apps/).
Do I need an account?
No. The app has no accounts. Dropbox sign-in is needed only if you want to sync.
